Hufcor Horizontal Mech Shaft Assembly - 5XXX Series
Shafts are used on various Hufcor panels that have operable horizontal acoustical seals.
Picture above (5XXX Series) details the actual meeting edges of two panels that are hinged together as pairs. The shafts do not have the shown couplers, springs or pins at the opposite ends.
Basic shaft assembly consist's of a 3/8" push on fastener, bushing, snap ring, mounting plate, and the 3/8" square rod that has been "crimped" at the factory for the bushing stop. This assembly is what is used at the trail or operating edge of either a set of paired panels that are hinged together or a single or omni directional panel.
When ordering assembly for the meeting of two hinged or paired panels, additional components will need to be included.
These may included a socket, spring and roll pin, depending on which end or panel that is being repaired. The 3/8" square rod that is used at this intersection is crimped at a diferent location for the bushing, so, please be careful to notice which end of panel is needing the parts.
