The seal is attached with two screws to the internal mechanism from the bottom. It is difficult to see the screw holes, so you will need to feel for the holes. Use a right angle drill or a right angle bit attachment to a drill or impact gun, or use a short screw driver. The panel will need to be pushed out so you can work on the bottom of the panel. Do not push the panel more than 18" from the centerline of the track.

Replacing hinges is relatively easy. The most important part is buying the correct hinges and screws. Find the right ones online at www.screensandpartitions.com. The most difficult part of installation is aligning the hinges before begining. The panels can be sway from side to side which will allow the hinges to align with the holes. After all screws are in place, the panels can be adjusted from the trolley bolt so that no undue stress is placed upon the hinges

To keep the bulb seal from sliding up or down, you need to crimp the retainer. It is common to use a sharp tool like a screw driver tip, however, this might ruin the retainer for future bulb seal replacement. A blunt ended tool should be used like a punch. On future bulb seal replacement, the crimp can be pryed apart using a flat head screw driver.

After installing or replacing the bulb seal and crimping the retainer, it must be trimmed to fit. The bulb seal needs to barely touch the floor and the track system above. DO NOT cut the bulb seal the same size as the panel, if you do there will be sound leaks when you use the partition.

The bulb seal instalaltion can happen with just a single person, but is much quicker with one person pinching and pulling it up-ward while another person guides it into the retainer. Buy bulb seal online at www.screensandpartitions.com. If you squirt some glass cleaner such as windex into the retainer at the top, it will drip down and lubricate the rubber bulb seal material making it easier to pull into place. Next you need to crimp the retainer to avoide movement and then trim the bulb seal

The bottom seal is fastened to the internal mechanism with two screws. The panel must be pushed out far enough to get a right angle drill, a right-angle bit attachment or a short screw driver under the panel to loosed the screws. The panel should not be pushed more than 18" from the center line of the track to either side

As everyone tightens their budgets, we have found creative ways to win more work. The change from a 2 man crew on simple track installations to only 1 man has been positive for us. Track installations take longer, but are still significantly less expensive than 2 men onsite.
